Independent learning guide for creative careers in India How we work
Creative hardware & systems

Choose a workstation for the work you do.

A sensible editing, VFX or game-development PC starts with the project and software requirements, not a generic expensive-parts list.

Before buying a creative computer

Choose your main software, the largest realistic project and the output quality you expect. Read the software vendor’s current recommended hardware list and compare total cost, warranty, upgrade path, local after-sales support and electricity needs. Treat old generic specifications with caution, especially for AI and real-time 3D workloads.

Different work, different bottlenecks

01Graphic design & UI/UX: Prioritize a readable, color-consistent display, enough memory for design files and responsive storage. GPU requirements depend on the actual app and projects.
02Video editing & color: Test resolution, codecs, effects, scratch disks, storage bandwidth and monitoring; a camera codec may matter more than an abstract benchmark.
033D animation & VFX: Assess viewport GPU needs, CPU render tasks, RAM for simulations, VRAM for scenes and storage for caches. Check render-engine support.
04Gaming & XR: Target platform and engine determine performance, GPU, memory and testing-headset needs. A high desktop frame rate does not ensure mobile XR comfort.

For workstation manufacturers and resellers

Submit exact device configurations, relevant software tests, warranty and service terms. Sponsored placements must be visible as such. Editorial explanations and recommendations are independent; there are no unverified "best PC" rankings.
